Default Steering column vibration

I have a 2013 f150 xlt with electric power steering

One month ago, when I turned to the left or right my steering wheel I felt a vibration, is like when a cell phone vibrates

The dealer says that is a steering column issue and all the parts and work is under warranty

This night I felt the vibration when the truck went over little bumps, and not only whit the steering wheel movement, also only happens with the truck in normal work conditions, when is cold nothing happens

Any idea about this problem? Thanks in advance

Look at the stickies topics at the top of this forum and you'll see what you are looking for. A known issue and it can be fixed.

Hi ammx_i,

Have you had your dealership repair this for you yet? Let me know how the appointment goes and feel free to contact me if you need additional assistance.

Thanks Crystal I live in South America, Ecuador, and the dealer is waiting for the parts, 30 or 45 days, he told me. With a friend moving the steering wheel and I, pushing the pice number 5 I think inside the motor bay , the feel and sound disappears, but the part is extremely hot In m opinion are these parts the problem, no the EPAS, what do you think?

Hi ammx_i,

I'm not a technician, so I'm not the best resource for mechanical advice. I recommend reaching out to Ford Ecuador; they can be reached at 01800-113355.

HI,
I have this issue with my 2011 F150 XLT Super Crew V8. It started about 2k miles and continue at 24.8K miles. The two dealers which have inspected said it was normal. They didn't even mention there was a fix for it. My vibration is bad enough to cause some numbness in my fingers.

My truck has almost 18000 mile son it, and the rattle and vibration was gone..... Here there are many kinds of terrain altitudes in a few kilometers, my truck works between 2000 meters and 3500 meters, the engine working at this altitude, works a lot with less air and until now the rattle and vibration was gone ... And with the original steering rack and motor, my dealer would change the steering rack, but this was not nesesary
