Default Speed Control. Blower Motor

Hi All. Today the fan on the blower motor only works on speed 4. High speed.

Is it the switch?? Or resistor on side of the fan housing ??

9.9 times out of 10, when it only works on hi it is the resistor. Check your wires where the plug into the resistor AND check the one going to the blower motor itself. Also worth mentioning its possible your blower motor itself is failing. Causing higher resistance to be pulled through the resistor.

The motor was replaced two years ago. So I also think it’s the resistor too

Sounds like the resistor for sure. If you give me the last eight digits of your VIN I can give you the correct part number.

I can do that
I'm not sure if I have the single heat sink or the four heat sink unit. It's an XLT with AC / AC Max red / blue temp controls. 2014

Does it look like this first pic... A blower resistor or the second picture, a blower speed controller?

My VIN is 1FTPF1ET7BKD56751

While my truck was in the shop last week, I asked them to diagnose the same thing and they said it was the resistor.

Is that sucker accessible?
