Default Spark Plug recommendations

Recommendations for spark plugs. I was told to stick with Motorcraft plugs for my F150, but thought I'd ask here. Iridium, platinum, etc....not sure.
And how many do I need?

Appreciate the help.

Same thread from last year, some good info in here: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/3-7l-spark-plugs-479445/

Here's a good thread with some helpful tips on the actual process for changing them on the 3.7L: https://www.f150forum.com/f70/replac...s-3-7l-253023/

Good luck.

Motorcraft. I think you can get them for like $5 a piece off Summit. I've put 50k miles on mine since changing at 80k. Got a new set now I gotta put in.

Spark plugs for 2014 Ford F150...
Thanks so much for ur help to everyone who has responded. New hereso I haven't got a chance to see old similar threads. I guess what I'm asking is how many do I need and should I go for the more advanced materials besides platinum? I just read that it depends on how many Cylinders so since it's a 6cycle...I need 6, right? Trying to order online but I want to make of this before I do.

Thanks. I bought my truck used and it was already at 73k. I doubt the previous owner ever changed the plugs. I have no problems related to them, but being that I own it now I want to make sure it's in tip top shape to last me awhile.

I didn't post the thread links above because I remembered them - I did an easy search using the Search function at the top of the page, and grabbed the first couple threads (out of many on this forum). Did you read the ones I posted?

Short answer: 6 plugs

Here is a U-tube video, the first one that popped up using the googlez. Yours are platinum BTW. I would stick with the same that came in it, Motorcraft platinum.

Like I mentioned earlier -you should check out FordTechMakuloco's Youtube site.
He has good information about the ecoboost motors but the process would be the same for you.

I encourage a first timer to watch instructional videos so they know what to expect. A simple spark plug change can go bad in a hurry if you break one. If your motor has a spark plug well like the eco and 5.0 motor, you will have to learn how to clean the plug well before you start removing spark plugs.
You should get a torque wrench and understand the proper way to set it and use it.

Some of the questions asked will be answered in how-to's, which I think is important in this situation.

I can't speak to which plug you would need for your specific motor because I have the ecoboost motor, not the base motor.
I got the plugs from AutoZone one afternoon and changed them the following morning on the cold motor.
