*software & setup* for integrated iPad installations
Well I bought my iPad....and it auto updated to IOS 7.1.
So Im screwed when it comes to Jailbreaking!!!
Although...I am not near my truck until Aug and have a question for you.
Without jailbreaking your iPad....did it show the Accessory screen when connected to a MACBOOK/Computer!? Or just when you are plugged into the USB on the truck!?
Reason I ask is cause on my iPad (IOS 7.1) it does not have an "Accessories screen" when connected to my macbook. Is this normal on iOS 7.0.6!?

Checkout 6:37 in the video...there is a "CarDisplay" function. I wonder if this helps with the "Acc Splash screen"!?
When enabled it send the iPad/iphone display to the cars already installed screen....BUT, if disabled, does it let you connect and use the iPad screen itself without displaying an Accessories connected screen!? hmmm

Resurrecting this thread because I just saw my carpod app was updated to Dashbox. Anyway, so far I've been pretty impressed.
The UI is totally redone and little things that make a big difference are in there, like using the app to find an address and then automagically sending it to your map program. The music player is redone and is nicely laid out. I emailed the developers and I guess it's under new ownership, they got back to me super quick and said they are trying to get the app on a development path based on user feedback. I had upgraded to the full version before the update, but I think the app is free or $0.99 or something.
Anything new out there guys?
Can you take some screenshots of this?

Ook so I just found the time to install my iPad mini in my dash....
The tablet turns on with the turn of a key, but is not turning off/locking the screen when the key is turned off. Is this a setting I have to click in the "settings"?
