I don't think so. That plugged in app works great for that. Go to cydia and search plugged in. And their will be 2 of the download the one that is free.

Yes, Activator can launch a specific application on USB power connect.

I've tested mine set up like this and it works great:
  • At Lock Screen -> Power Connected -> Launch PodCar HD
  • At Home Screen -> Power Disconnected -> Lock Device (sleep)
  • In Application -> Power Disconnected -> Lock Device (sleep)

I initially tried to do the lock/unlock from mode 'Anywhere', bit it did not work properly on my mini. Not sure why, but the above is actually a better setup anyway.

This DID NOT work for me:
  • Anywhere -> Power Connected -> Unlock Device
  • Anywhere -> Power Disconnected -> Lock Device (sleep)

There are pluses and minuses to *always* having the ipad return to the same application on power cycles... I'm not quite ready to commit to PodCar or any other application being the one that is always launched, rather than just returning wherever I left off...

BTW... My recommendation of Dashboard isn't the best. Found a fault... While requesting a song with sync, sync will repeat the correct song, but dashboard plays a different song. Kinda crazy. Works fine in Apples music app.
Just wanted everyone to know.

is it possible to actually see your radio tuner stations, and sound settings (bass, treble, fader, etc) from the ipad screen?

Your radio tuner station will be displayed on the LCD above the iPad. And no, you cannot see settings on iPad.

Is this the app you are talking about? Seems too busy for a primary car screen, but for 99¢, I could check it out.

I really like that first screen. If you could customize so the map was in the lower / left corner it would really be pretty complete for a main sceen.

I currently have an iPhone 5 and a WIFI iPad 2, no 3G. Since the wifi only iPad does not have a GPS antenna, is there a way to use the iphone's gps so i don't have to buy an aftermarket bluetooth capable gps?

I plan on mounting the ipad but want to use it for my music, maps, and internet. I've already jailbroken the iphone and downloaded MyWi to tether internet to the ipad. The only thing i'm missing is the gps. What are others using for a solution to this?
