I compared both the OEM Ford mudflaps and the WeatherTechs. In Colorado, winters are hard on cars, largely from the sand/gravel mixture applied to road surfaces.

Anyway, I felt the quality on the WeatherTech mudflaps was far beyond the OEMs. Very sturdy. They also are a little more squared off, which flows more with the body than the OEMs.

I am assuming when you say Ford mud flaps you mean the OEM ones? I am wondering if I should get the ones installed on my truck from the factory?

Anyone handled both the ford mud flaps along with the weathertech? Wanna see if there are any substantial differences in material etc.

I got the Husky mudflaps. I was wondering if anyone installed them in thier trucks since I didn't find a thread on it before.

This is the best pic I have of them on my truck.

If all I had to worry about was mud and water spray, I would forget them. Like I said, in Colorado, winters are hard on cars. Mudflaps are almost essential. Right there along with the full clear bra, to help keep the front end from getting all peppered by sand kicked up from the cars in front.

My 04 I didn't add flaps. Then I noticed a nice little "traingle" that was beat up n my lower door where the "spray" would get in between the RB and the fender. Was sorry I hadn't added them right away.

Here are the weathertech ones on my f150. Found it alittle tough to get good pics of them. Not to big or small and they don't extend onto the paint like the Husky's which I had on another truck. From a distance can hardly see them at all.
