Default Simple Question..Mud Flaps or No Mud Flaps

Hey Guys
I am finalizing the ordering of some accessories etc for my truck currently on order (2011 Fx4 ecoboost).

This is a simple one for you. Do you guys enjoy having mud flaps, if so is there a certain brand?

Also does anyone have any pictures of their truck with them? I am wondering if it kills the look or not.

Lastly, anyone who is often found in mud/sand/snow etc. , do you ever find that they are caugt up and draging or threatening to break off?

thanks for your help..I know it is a simple one, but I figured I would ask.

Another name for mud flaps is paint preservers. The bigger they are the more paint you preserve. I am getting the molded Ford flaps for the FX4 and am going to get some clear rock guard behind the rear ones for the rocks that get by the smallish flaps. My running boards help the front flaps for complete protection.
I know most off road types go without, but on road is where you get the high speed sandblasting of your paint job.

Part of the reason why rhino lining the bottom body line is so popular...

Your truck is so clean it reminds me I need to wash mine. It's finally warm enough here I can do so. Can't really wash your truck when it's snowing or covered in ice. HEEEELLLLLLOOOO Spring Time.

They provide protection, and typically I find they make it look like your running a larger tire even though your not.
I prefer the Husky units as they seem to be the toughest of the moulded type. (well at least tougher than the Ford unit, not sure about the weather-tech)

If weathertech mudflaps are anything like their floor mats they are pure crap, but I havent seen the weathertech mudflaps in person.
