The only way mudflaps will actually work, is if they are no farther than 2 inches from the ground. Otherwise, the water/mud/salt will just pass underneath them and into the rear bumper.

I bought a set of Husky, and a can of Krylon plastics paint, off white to match the platinum colour of my truck. 1.5 years later, the flaps are holding, and doing their job. No, they are not perfect and some crap does get onto the side of the truck and boards, but a lot of stones, branches and salt chunks are stopped which is what I wanted for both the front doors, and for the trailer when I tow something.

I think they help keep my truck clean and help preserve my paint, all my trucks have had the molded type flaps, wish my wifes escalade had them

Its the front ones that dont fit good, look in my album, i have aries, look how they go out over the sill so water doesnt get on your carpet, cause they drain out the bottom of your door you know. Then compare them to your front weathertechs. I have the weathertech in the back, its not as well constructed as the aries are twice as thick and nice and soft rubber instead of weathertech plastic.

I ordered the Aries this weekend they have not shipped yet. Based on the pics you had I liked the coverage as well. I also ordered the rear weathertechs and mud flaps.

I know I'll get comments for this...I have the weathertech mud flaps installed on my truck and will take pics tomorrow and post. Install is easy and they feel pretty solid. As far as durability, we will just have to see.

I bought my F150 last November. No flaps installed. Where I live, we get lots of snow and slush builds up on the roads a fair bit. My truck has steps/bars and I find that slush builds up between the front of the bars and the bottom of the front fender. I noticed several times my drivers door was pushing up against the snow/slush/ice buildup in that area. I have since pruchased ford flaps for my truck for that reason. I am not a big fan of flaps, but I am even less of a fan of damaged doors. So I vote 'yes' for flaps....not for dirt and mud, but for ice/slush buildup.

I have the Ford mud flaps and they are holding up fine. I've backed into snow banks with the rears and have also dragged the fronts through thick snow with no problems. I got them to help protect the paint and also to help keep snow and ice buildup off my steps. I do however think our trucks look better without them. I don't have any good pictures of them.
