Default Running Boards (Nerf Bars) Important?

I want to know people's opinion. I actually like the look of the F150 without them but my former truck (Nissan Frontier) had them and I used them all the time to get to the top of the truck to clean it but thats it. Thinking of getting and FX4 screw in the future and can't decide. Thanks!!

I don't have them and can't wait to get them...the truck is a pain in the *** to get into without em, and im afraid of mangling the side of my seat sliding out of the truck.

You can get an aftermarket set for a couple hundred bucks, don't let it be a deciding factor in your purchase.

I love mine - use them all the time. Also, my kids are 6,7,8 yrs old and wouldn't be able to get in the back without them.

My daughter is one and this would definitely be an issue in the future. Anyone have the 4 inch stainless one's? They sufficient? I hate chrome

Depending on your budget later on, you can have the best of both worlds with AMP's power steps. There are some drop down steps like the Dominator IIs and NFABs if you need a lower foothold than stock.

My girlfriend is 5 foot nothing and the truck was as tall as she could comfortably handle when it was stock height with no steps.

I didn't put any on mine and I sure regret it now. If you drive any gravel put them on. I put the big rubber mud flaps on to try and keep rock chips down but they did not do the job and I now have no pain on my front box corner and the door panels have chips on them. I am waiting for my N-fab to arrive from backorder

I actually got into a war with my Fleet guy because our so called spec said NO steps/nerf bars. It would have been fine for me but what happens when you have a short passenger. I ended up getting the Safety guy involved....

Like others have said you can always add them after the fact. For me they were a must.
