5k is min for rotation. 2500 is very excessive. i got 50k miles out of my KM1 and 55k out my MT mug hogs by cross rotating them every 5k. having them done every 2500 is going to mar the lugs up fast.

i swaped to gorilla off ebay. 100 bucks for the set

Default Safety Issue

The tire wrench in the truck supplied by ford will not work after a couple changes . It is not deep enough and the angle it sits at makes removing nuts impossible . If you need to change a tire yourself on the side of the road , forget it . My dealer said the nuts are to be hand tightened and torqued and removed which will not happen even at the ford dealer . Why should we all hunt down proper solid nuts or pay ford 9 $ canadian for another crappy one from dealer .?

I have a breaker bar and the proper socket (locking one too) in my truck. If I need to change a tire on the side of the road I have the tools but I'd have to wait for CAA as that crappy bottle jack on my truck is useless as I'm leveled w/a larger tire. I'm not about to carry around a 3 ton jack with me, if I was going on a road trip or off-road camping with fiends then yes.

I'll add another vote for Gorilla. Got the chrome locking set for about $55 through CJ Pony Parts.

OK thanks, looks like Gorilla it is. The set for our trucks is right around 95-100 bucks.

I should have mentioned, I have the DP splined ones in black. I'm not happy with the finish, it's worn off in the year or so I've had them on.

Gorilla for sure. I got them through DPAccessories on Amazon. They are incredible quality. Make sure if you are sticking with stock wheels to get lug nuts that have a big shoulder or bulge like the OEM ones. A lot of aftermarket lug nuts have tiny shoulders that can pull straight through the softer material our wheels are made of.

These are the exact ones I got, the still look like the day I got them!
