Default Removing a ring from windshield....

Hey all,

So I feel pretty stupid today. I purchased a grip go mount for my truck for my phone and when I put it on I put the sticky part that would go on dash If you were applying it. The issue is now there is a ring around windshield from glue and application.

I have tried scraping it with a razor blade but not working very well. Is there a easy method to get this off and then I could use glass cleaner after.

Here is a pic

Thanks in advance,

Soak it with some WD40, then scrape it with a good new razor blade.

Try Goo-Gone. It's amazing stuff.

Please don’t use a razor blade on your nice windshield. It will make fine scratches that you won’t see until late low sun or early morning sun. Then you’ll be upset. Put some Goo Gone® Adhesive Remover on it and let it soak in. Use a plastic paint scraper to gently remove it...Also put a towel down on your dash under the area, to prevent possible color damage to it.

WD40 works good.... Be sure to use water or WD40 while scraping also.

Yeah I don't really want to use a razor blade....

So goo gone and what do I use to scrape? You mean a towel to get rid of mess when scraping?

Like these: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...9QEwBA&dur=407

You can buy them at Home Depot, Lowes or Wal-Mart. Also, just try using a rag after the Goo Gone has done its thing. Move it in a circular motion and you generate some heat and that should do it. Follow-up with a good glass cleaner and microfiber towel.

Use the edge of a library card, ID card, Credit Card. Hard plastic that is slightly flexible works best.

A credit card wasn't thin enough. That scraper looks good..... So with the goo gone, never used it apply on windshield and leave on how long? Do you mean put towel under area where I'm working so goo gone doesn't drip onto dash?

Leave it on and use your finger nail to test it. Use the towel for your dash. A: To protect it. B: Easy clean-up.
