That's good to know, can you tell us the procedure for changing the battery? Or was it something else you did that disabled the remote start?

The re-programming should only be the one i mentioned earlier, the door open and turning the ignition on and off quickly x times.

 

That's just coincidence, when changing the battery you won't even lose radio presets, you sure aren't going to have to reprogram any keys.

The mechanic tried it to. But had to hook it up to a machine which read "disabled". He then proceeded to hit a button the "abled"? It? Lol

 

So... Technically the key wasn't
​​​​ reprogrammed. I suppose it's much like forscan. He went in and got some readings and selected to "arm" ? It? Again.. Lol having trouble finding the right word

 

It doesn't matter what battery, it's still not going to change the programming in the computer on board that reads it.
