Um, you can't move the vehicle without a key.

Okay from the "Holy thread resurrection Batman!" file, I had this trouble after a cold snap and going into the control panel and turning everything on and off that I could seemed to help.

It happens when your battery is low, re charge your battery, every time I've had this beep if i check my battery its down a few volts and sometimes its so low the truck won't even turn over.

I've heard a lot of people saying that the new fords don't fully charge the battery to 100% about once a month in the winter i'll throw a charger on my battery and its always down 80% or sometimes less

Open the hood. Bend hood switch (pressure switch attached to metal plate on drivers side fender) upward. Close hood.

Yea that happened to me. I was working on the airbox one cold day, shut the hood and went inside. The next morning I hit the fob and all I got was a honk the lights flashing. Didn't know why, so made an appointment with the dealer to have it looked at. Well, the next day I opened the hood for something, can't remember why at the moment, and when looking around I noticed the hood switch by the airbox was bent way down. Looks like a small rubber bellows. I bent the bracket back up, shut the hood and tried the remote. It worked! Cancelled the appointment with the dealer. So that may be a good suggestion if you've been under the hood lately....

Yeah if you open the hood with the engine running on remote, it kills the ignition

Mine did this a few times, I changed the remote battery. All was good. Mine never attempted to start though. Mine would get the lock blink but would not get the start x2.

I think remote start eats the fob batteries. My Wife's Caravan goes through the batteries too.

Hi pcarlton76,

Pass along the year and mileage of your truck. I'll see how I can help with that remote start.
