Front suspension is still mostly stock. Stock shocks with the $40 daystar budget boost and that's it. I decided if I went with some coil-overs I'd have to limit my uptravel so I don't smash those big tires into the truck.

I don't want the truck any taller, or any shorter. And I like the ride. Also the extended length of my stock coilover plus the budget boost level kit is still less than the extended length of the Camburg coilovers, so I don't expect any undue wear and tear out of my suspension.

In the back I added an Add-A-Leaf (longer than stock) and removed one of the stock leaves, so it's softer but more resistant to axle wrap, and I'm running some Raptor shocks. It works very well.

I'm happy with it, and it did great in Colorado last summer. We went solo this year so not alot of action shots. We also slept on our memory foam mattress in the back of the truck. It was warm and comfortable.

More pictures, Obligatory pic on top of the pass

And a few scenery pics just for the fun of it.

I think the truck is pretty much done. She works well for what I want her to do.

We have done these conversions with Dirt King Raptor parts.

From me or 'Total Automotive Performance'?

Me, I'm keeping the truck as it is in the pictures above. No further changes, which means I've given up on the Raptor suspension conversion.

I know it's possible, and not too expensive. However I don't want the extra track width. And it wouldn't play well with my current front fender/bumper setup.

Anyway, it seems to me that I could just swap the front suspension parts over, and get a bunch more front end travel.

I've done a little searching on Tasca parts for the cost involved

$126 Left, $126 Right - Raptor Upper Control Arm
$369 Left, $369 Right - Raptor Lower Control Arm
$223 Left, $202 Right - Raptor CV Axles (are these the same spline count as my stock axles?
$54 Left, $53 Right - Raptor Tie Rod Ends
$1322 - Icon coilovers

That comes out to be ~$2844.

You'd have to cut your stock fenders. But that's not too bad. You'd get the long travel front suspension of the Raptor for relatively cheap.

Has anyone done this? Or seriously considered it and then backed out? If so, why?
Bringing back an old thread but anyone have ideas on doing this to a newer truck?? i found raptor front and rear shocks brand new from the 17-18 raptor for 700 bucks and thought to myself man if i could build a setup around those that would be cheap and really tough. I had someone tell me that you cant just swap out the shocks on the newer F150 and raptor becasue the lower mount is different.

The newer shocks are longer so you will limit the travel of the shocks. I have seen people do it by putting 1st gen top hat and springs on the front shock. The rear shock is 1" longer which is not a big deal and that is a non issue. The fronts are the main issue with the new shocks

One thing i forgot to mention is my truck is lifted 6". I want to lower it to 4" but dont think these shocks will work with that much lift?
