In my days off since I have nothing better to do (*rollseyes) I might pull it appart and make sure everything is hooked up properly and nothing wiggled lose. Will try the update again...

 

I had mine installed about a month ago on my 12 fx4, have not done the update and have not had any troubles, knocks on some wood! I hope the people that are still having issues gets them corrected or figured out.

 

To update the lockpick you had to take your screen out? Or can you plug your laptop into your USB port on the truck itself to update? And since you have updated it have you had this problem? I installed my lockpick about 3 months ago and then the other day it just said connect error see dealer. Im not looking forward to having to take my screen out because I have heard it is a complete pain.

 

You just have to be able to get to the lock pic unit i was able to lay on my back and pull it down from the drivers side and plug the cable into it and hook to my laptop to do my update.

 

Have you had any problems since you updated?

 

None and I updated about 4 months or so ago

 

Well I experienced the dreaded connection error. I will be updating the lock pick sometime today and hopefully it will correct the issue. If not lock pick is coming out, pain in the *** as nothing works when you have that error.

 

I did my update and all has been well no issues did it about 6-9 months ago

 

Update installed, and sync took right off, I hope I do not have that issue again, very inconvenient. It did however get me motivated to knock out some of my to do list on the truck!

 

Pretty sure mine is updated and still does it. Going to try the update again (what a worthless system updating it, not only confusing but how TF do you tell if it works or is working?!?) this weekend, if not I will be calling them again and either asking them for a new box or some other fix. I can't believe how good I am getting at resetting the stupid system, I am thinking of putting a toggle switch to the live power on it so I can do it on the fly. What a joke.

Are there any other systems out there besides theirs to do the same thing?
