Default solution

Lockpick called me back. They issued a new update 2 days ago. go to coastaletech.com then to the USB Update

Have to download the update on a laptop then take the laptop to the vehicle and plug it into the USB on the device.

I updated mine and it works propoerly now.

Ok so I finally got around to taking apart my dash again at the request of the Coastal rep who said it sounded like a grounding problem and that something may be loose. When I took off the radio I noticed the large plug in the back was not pushed in all the way. I pushed it in and it clicked. Hopefully that solves my issue.

Also as far as the Coastal update, does anyone know what it's addressing?

Anyone still having these issues? I am about 10 seconds from ripping this sysem out and driving over it. I am getting sick of the pulling the negative battery terminal just to get function back on my display, sucks explaining to your wife why the heat don't work or the 2 year old waiting for toy story to come back on.

Headed on some long trips here end of the month and if this thing fails during that trip I will be pizzed on a whole nother level, I am not going to wait on the gas station with my terminal off or be pulling fuses to get back on the road.

2012 fx4, installed in July and didn't have an issue until Oct, now it's been every week. Tried running an update the software sucks to do it and can't tell if it takes or if I am doing it right, still have issues.

They will be getting a call later today hopefully, happened on the way into work AGAIN.
