Something about the air conditioned seats fonction comming on at a certain ambiant temperature in fonction with a remote starter only. I guess you need a remote starter in order for it to work. Should work for heating and cooling the seats.

I may be out in left field with this, so don't rely simply on my answer, cause I don't have that option in my truck.

I *think* quiet start doesn't run the HVAC fan at full speed when it's hot or cold out and doesn't force the engine at high idle to cope with that. May even run the cooling fans at low speed rather than high.

I tried turning quiet start on - it makes it idle at a super low RPM, just fast enough to stay running. For some reason they left it out of the manual, but for other Fords it says that Quiet Start ON keeps the RPMs at a low idle, Quiet Start OFF allows the engine to rev up.

Thanks BillR. I was wondering that myself.

Bill, can you tell a dramatic difference in the way the truck idles? I can't tell a difference on mine.

What I notice is the fans turn on at a much higher speed, and thus a bit more noisier.

How bout that...i just tested this today to see what the difference was. We couldn't tell a difference. I have it set on quite start & my seats & vents are on auto, they blow pretty hard so it must be the engine noise (rpm's).

Does these feature turn off the confirmation horn chirp when you remote start it? That's what I thought it meant after reading the manual online (I don't have a 2011 truck).

Mine doesn't honk either way but that is exactly what I thought it would be...i thought it would honk with the quite start turned off. Guess not though, haven't read the manual.
