I love that capless feature, wish my other car had it also. Took me a while to get used to it but have not one issue with it refueling.

It is a Ford customer service bulletin that explains the problem

It all comes down to the fact that stations are changing nozzles and the new ones are not large enough to release the release tabs in the fill system I.E the new nozzle's are smaller
Right on, good find. If I remember correctly, the nozzle I used fit in the ?? Category I guess, I'll need to be on the lookout when I fill up. Thanks.

I absolutely hate the system. Half the places I fill up at cause an issue. I fixed the problem the other day. Here are the tools you will need.

Not really an issue, but the only I noticed is the capless filler gets near topped off when the nozzle shuts off automatically. No need to get those extra few drops in.

Only had truck a few months but haven't had any problems. The design does concern me though. Hopefully Ford has put enough testing into it so that issues are avoided.

Had this happen today for the first time. The pump nozzle tapered down at the end.
