Problem starting 2011 SCREW
I just bought my truck last week and two different times when I turn the key to start it nothing happens. It doesn't crank or make noise, just nothing. Both times
I pulled the key out and put it back in and it started right up. Has anyone else ever seen this?

Same thing happened to me. Bought my 11 Lariat Screw in October and it began immediately. Dealership thought that they found a bad ground. It occured again after a couple of days and they found a bad starter. It has been fine since. I think if it was a key coding, it would light the security light.
Remember that the truck has to read the transponder in the key in order for it to crank.
I recall reading maybe in the manual that if you had another transponder key on your key ring, it could possibly interfere with the truck key. That or maybe the transponder had a problem reading it.
Just a thought.

The dealer is putting remote start in today and they said they would check it out. I did have another transponder key on the ring the second time it happened but not the first time. I didn't take notice of any warning lights when it happened, but if it happens again I'll pay attention. Time will tell!
I think I fixed my problem. It happened today again. I went to start it and nothing. I took the key out and back in and it started right up. I noticed that the clock reset to 12:00. I popped the hood and figured I would check the battery terminals just in case. The ground was loose as could be. I guess I need to remember to check the obvious next time!

I can't believe your dealer did not catch the loose connection at the battery since you told them of the problem and you had remote start installed. I guess they were more concerned with stuffing your money in their pocket than fixing the problem. Checking the battery terminals should have been the first thing to check and so easy, would have gone a long way in building your confidence in their service department. Oh well such is life.
