Pairing cell phone
I have a 2011 F150 EcoBoost. I just purchased a new LG-V10 cell phone. I paired it to the truck. But only the phone function works. I was hoping it would also work for text messaging but no luck on that. when I ask to read text message . It tells me no device that supports texting.. I was wondering if maybe I don't have something set up right....Can anyone help me on this?

You may not have granted permission on the phone for text messages over Bluetooth. Go to Bluetooth settings on your phone, choose sync and see if a text message option is unchecked.

I recommend pairing your phone again. During the pairing process, your phone will ask if you want to allow SYNC access to your text messages. You must allow it on your phone for the feature to work.
What phone are you using?

Sounds like the issues you guys are having are mostly phone settings or pairing issues. I would forget the device in Sync then resynchronize. Also in what is usually the ease of access menus or speech menus, you might want to disable "read incoming texts" or change it from "Bluetooth Only" to "Off". Always a little different from phone to phone, but this is the general idea.
If you guys post up what phone you have, we might be able to give you more specific instruction.
