Default No start and gauges flutter when turn key

Was driving my 2010 F150 FX4 home the other day and while driving, the electronic display on dash went dead. Gauges were working so continued to gas station (almost out of gas).
Got gas and went to restart and nothing happened when I turned key. Most of electronics came on except dash and the gauges just sat in place and fluttered a small amount. No clicks or anything I could hear from starter.
I used small jumper box to try and jump battery, but still got nothing. Had to get towed. They cant look at til Friday, was thinking I may go try to jump with running car? Anyone else know what it could be?
Battery not new, but not terrible old.

any ideas? have been reading and may go try my other key. neither of the keys I have are factory. But have never had a problem til now. That wouldn't explain dash shutting off while driving though I dont think.

I would try getting a good charge on the battery and double check your terminals are tight/cables are in good shape.

My initial guess would be alternator output crashed, battery drained and you just happened to shut it off at the gas station moments before it would have died out.

Check the cables on the BCM specifically. The big one at the bottom might just be loose.

The body control module?
It says that its under drivers side. i am not familiar. I know fuse box under passenger side near right foot.
Where do I find BCM and just check connections into and out of box?
Thanks for the help.

Weird. Went to try and troubleshoot truck while it was at garage where it was to be worked on since they couldn’t look at til Friday. It started right up no problem. Tested batttery and alternator output and both fine. Not sure where to go from here.

that’s what I was thinking. Gonna see if it shows any codes but guess I just make sure I drive with both keys, check for blown fuses, and maybe get battery/alternator tested to be sure. Not sure what else to check or how
