2010 F150 5.4 cranks but wont start
EDIT: The issue, at least in my scenario, where there is a crank but no start issue, happens due to the fuel pump fuse burning out and needing to be replaced. Save yourself the time and money and get the part yourself as I had to spend $118 for my dealership to diagnose and fix the issue which is a bit ridiculous. Master Tech told me that it is a common issue, especially with the 2010s.
So my research has concluded that this is not a familiar that is new to F150s, but I have had issues finding it on the 2009 or 2010 models. If there are threads and I missed them, I apologize in advance.
But, like the title says, my 2010 F150 5.4, with 52000~ miles, has had this issue very rarely over the last few months, but this morning, when I tried to start it, I could not get it to start at all. It'll just crank, even with my hand off of the key, until I turn my truck off. Longest I have let it crank is maybe 3-4 seconds before turning it off.
First off, I knew my battery went bad after it drained awhile ago (sometime last year) but wanted to run it until it would no longer work. I thought that could have been the culprit the last time this issue came up, so I replaced it a month ago with a brand new one, and I thought I fixed the problem.
Anyone else have or have had this issue? If so, what was the outcome? I am worried this could be an expensive fix but am hoping it is not. Thanks in advance for any comments!

My car knowledge is pretty limited but doesn't that issue seem different than mine? I have never had the problem after refueling and it never sputtered at idle. My fuel economy has also been consistent with where it has always been. I also just did a San Diego to Mammoth Mountain trip averaging 18-20 MPG, both ways two weekends ago, so I know it is good there.
Either way, I could be completely wrong and the issue Mycandy had is related to the issue that is causing my issues.
Thanks for your post!

No service engine light =/. I already scheduled AAA to tow it to my main dealership tomorrow so it can be looked at but for my own anxiety I was hoping to find someone with the same exact situation and read about their outcome.

I hope that is the case BLACKNIGHT. I am praying it is that simple =). Did your issue just randomly come up or was it like mine where it was very infrequent and then one day you couldn't get it to start?

I talked to the Master Tech that had my truck yesterday, and he said that it is a common issue, especially with the 2010s, and that he had already done about 10 of them (I don't know what kind of time frame that was in though).
Thanks again for your help. I'll definitely check this if I ever have an issue again because paying $118 for diagnoses on something like that is a bit ridiculous.

So, I just had this exact issue. I replaced the fuel pump driver module first, as I had heard that was a common problem. Then, three days later, it cuts out on the highway for a few seconds, then on a local road for a few seconds. Then, it left me sitting after a race.
I started poking around the fuse/relay box under the hood, and found the burnt fuse. Yanked a match out of a trailer lighting slot, and was back in business.
What part did you have to purchase to repair this? Or did you mean, just go buy another fuse and stick in there?
