Need Suggestions..
I currently have a 2011 5.0L V8 f150 tuxedo black XLT scab http://www.inventory.ford.com/servic...FX1EF4BFA02813
I bought it almost a year ago now, and I owe 24,000 left on it. My dealership said they will give me 24.5 on the truck, my currently payments are 420 a month. I planned on buying a lift kit tires and rims which would cost about 4000 dollars.
My dealership is offering me a brand new 2013 FX4 Super Crew Im trying to find the VIN number so i can show you guys the options it has all i know is it dosent have the appearance package. for 44,000 with 5000 dollars in rebates and if i put another 4000 down my payments would be 590 a month, does it sound like im paying too much because i kind of feel like i am. and they told me i have until monday to decide before some of the rebates are no longer valid. I would really appreciate your guy's thoughs. Thanks

might be able to get them down...how much really depends...you getting your truck in NY? have you thought about maybe taking a trip to PA? i paid about the same for mine in september, with the appearance package and ecoboost "upgrade" - but I had to go to PA to get it. you should be able to get a better deal without a problem....there is a dealer in ohio, fairway ford, have them send you an out the door price....from what i've seen they have some of the best deals around. then see if your dealer will match it...if not, take your business elsewhere. good luck!

They just charge you nys sales tax. I got charged nj sales tax and thats it...you get charged based on your residence. Plates were shipped to my house a few weeks later. Only thing i had then throw in was the front plate holder since nj requires it and pa doesn't. Trust me...you will save tons and be a lot happier with some coin in your pocket. A dealer in nj wanted close to 50k pretax for the truck i ended up getting in pa for just about 40k otd...fairway also had raptors at msrp...the dealers i went to in nj were 6k over msrp with no haggling done...

$44,000 sounds a bit high if that is the out the door price. I'm thinking the sticker price is probably around $50k? I would think they would be able to get you a better price than that.
Also ... that rebate line is a crock. Rebates change at the end of the month, not halfway through. If you are thinking of a new truck, I would shop a few dealers. I got just over $11k off my 2013 XLT SCrew last week. The FX4, having a higher sticker price, would have more mark up and could lead to more of a discount. Good luck!

$44,000-$5,000 in rebate takes it to $39,000. So if they are selling for $37,000, that means they are giving you $2,000 discount there.
If they say your truck is worth $21,000, but offering $24,000, that's essentially another $3,000 in discount off the new truck that they are just showing to you as trade value. Without knowing the actual value of your truck and details about it, it would be difficult to judge that number.
So, a total of $5,000 discount on top of the rebates is pretty reasonable. They might still be able to do a little better if they really want to get rid of it.
Hope this helps ...
