True enough but function over fashion wins.

It would bug the crap out of me. I would have to find a way to transfer the buttons.
After looking back at the other pictures I took and compared them to yours, it's obvious that the 4.2 circuit board is bigger then the mft board. Look at the cd slot cutout. On the 4.2" there is more circuit board above the cd slot.
You may be able to fit the tablet between the board and bezel once the case is trimmed and the four button grid is removed.

Hmm. That does present an issue.

Just noticed the tag from the salvage yard where I bought the bezel from has the Vin# from the truck it came out of so I ran it thru OASIS and aside from being built in January and released from warranty February of 14. Odd it was only a month old but it was also a Ruby Red super cab just like mine
Spooky!

I ran a car fax and it kicked back only 1 record and that deepens the mystery, usually the 1st record is of a vehicle being sold and registered then other entries as it's history grows.
This leads me to believe the truck was damaged either in transit to the dealership or on the lot before it was sold making it a brand new unused part.

Question for you, (in Canada) all of the trucks that come with the 4.2" display do not come with Dual/auto climate... I noticed in your pictures that yours has it!
Is that something that is available in the states as an option, or when you plugged the new MFT bezel in did it add it? I would KILL to have dual climate haha.

The first thing I did was plug it in to see how the new button layout reacts.
I immediately noticed the AC readout at the top of the 4.2" screen showing fan speed, driver and passenger temp settings, and climate control status.
Now while the display shows driver and passanger temp readouts only the drivers side temp control adjusts both sides. On the f150 with dual zone A/C the HVAC case is split at the blend doors and there is a passanger temp blend actuator with a different hvac case harness. So as it sits I did not gain dual zone A/C.
On the upside I may have gained Automatic A/C! I need to mess with it some more to make sure.

I believe the Raptor/base fx2/4 could be purchased with the 4.2" and dual ac. So for sure the HVAC case, case harness, temperature blend actuator will have to be replaced. There may be other components needed also.
