Default My 10 cent Supercrew Backseat latch pull mod(Pic)

Didn't want to run out and deal with the holiday traffic so I grabbed a dime, some 2part epoxy and 9" of 550 para chord w the last 2" of inner chord pulled out so the knot would be smaller. Here's what I ended up with. And the pin doesn't have a flared end so that's why I rigged up the dime end for it.

One end of the chord slips so I can attach it to the pin and the other will slip around my headrest post.
*BTW, behind the seat is a great place to hide a firearm when in a pinch. The seat doesn't naturally fold down unless rigged to, so in theory a peeping valley won't look there.

Nice! I hide a rifle back there too when I'm hunting, the odd time it's a real bitch to open.

The first time it took me over 10 minutes to figure it out. I felt like an idiot. Ive tried to explain to so many customers over the phone how to get it to fold down. Nice Mod!

I was about to say this has been done before but I don't remember anyone using epoxy to attach a coin to the end lol. It's been done with a piece of bailing wire.

Nice job though.

Thanks. My pin didn't have a flare on the end of it so I had to go that route.

It is actually pretty easy once you do it once. Trick I read on these posts is to take off the headrest, pull the bottom seat up about half way. That will give you enough room to fit your hand in there. The pin faces the middle. Really small but notice where it is on the picture above with the dime glued on.

Some Guys have drilled them and used wire...

I'am going to drill mine also, and use a key ring and small camera hand cord attached to the ring...

I like the dime trick too..

I have my Alpine 5 Channel Amp and modulators back there....keeps my truck looking stock inside..

Merry Christmas Guys
