How would you like to be on the receiving end of this truck as a private buyer?
I don't buy private.

Plus, you dont have to lie to the guy. Tell him the truth.

Nobody in their right mind would buy that truck if they knew about all of those issues.

You never know.

Thats why I would just forget private sale and dump it off at a dealership.

OK so who in there right minds would buy this truck if i told them all the issues, and they would give me maybe half of book value if they knew all the issues, so how would that get me more money than trading it in???????????

Yet Ford seems to think its perfectly fine to stick me with this truck with no compensation at all for all of its issues....

There is a sucker for every sale.

Like I said above. If it was me I would just trade it into a dealership and get rid of the headache.

There are lots of common issues Ford can't fix after all these years.

- weak A/C
- leaking 3rd brake light
- perpetual need to grease the slip yoke
- speakers going in and out
- lots of others

Instead we get air cool seats, rain sensing wipers, folding steps, multimedia galore. Their priorities are out of wack if you ask me.

The problem is that's what gets trucks sold. Very few people do any research on a vechice before they buy it, it seems. Look at all the issuses with Ford diesels for years and they were still the top sellers, for example.

Have you gone back to your dealer so they can get this documented and diagnosed, gsxr1216? Let us know what you hear.

I like to poke fun at Toyotas fake turbo diesel hood scoop on the Tacoma. At least they usually iron out problems instead of pumping out truck after truck year after year with the same problems like Ford. Sure the Tacoma is basically unchanged for 10 years with same bad MPG engines but the little stuff does matter.

There is nothing Ford customer service can say to make this better. Ford engineers just need to buck up and do what's right. How hard can a third brake light be to seal the first time out of the factory?

1.4 million bing results on "f150 third brake light leak" says something.
