i seem to be missing something on my display. here it a shot at the "home" screen:

what is supposed to be on the 3rd screen? sees very strange to have nothing there.

 

It is intentionally left blank so that you can have a non-distraction screen.

 

well that is a pretty stupid thing to do considering there is still all sorts of data displayed on the screen. if that was the reason then they should have blacked out everything.

 

While I won't claim to know why they left that screen blank, it is normal. My truck is the same.

 

But then you wouldn't have anything to whine about. Or ... maybe you would about it being -blacked-out-.

My FX4 doesn’t have that compass. I have trans temp then nothing.

 

There is the odometer and the gear display. And you can turn the gear off separately. Make up your mind. Either you want stuff on screen or you don't.

Morris, don't you have a compass on the radio screen? The IC compass is actually for lower end models, but I don't know when the options became available. I had the compass on my stock Sync2 screen, and now on my Sync3 screen.

 

Yea Spiky I have navigation. I think I read I can change it with forscan correct?

 

kind of a stupid statement to make... if it wasn't there no one would know to begin with...

it's not a question of me wanting stuff on the screen or not, it's a silly design but thanks for your $0.01.

 

If you dont like it then dont use that particular screen. I happen to like the blank screen and use it often. Imagine that, someone has a different opinion than you. They design these trucks to appeal to the most people which is why you have so many options as to what is displayed there. Some people just like to complain about everything I suppose.
