Whichever truck you buy, if you camp and sleep in the bed, look at the Bed Rug bed liner. It is great!! Soft on the knees and indestructible. They will send you a sample if you want.

Yeah,

I am still struggling with the decision between the Screw and the Scab. With a canopy on the Scab I can get most everything I need done. It would be on the rare occasion that I would travel with more than myself and my wife.

I get ultra sensitive with new trucks.. I think I get more wind/road noise out of the Scab, but my wife doesn't hear it on the passengers side.

I wil say the sync system is great. Talk about something that works really well. I got a new Env Touch this this week too. It paired up with out isua and streamed audio of it with out missing a beat. I have yet had to look at a manual to work with it. very impressed.

Really like the dash layout and the eats are comfortable. So all in all I like the truck just need to decide if I would rather have a Screw tonight.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts

Paul

For what it's worth. My brother in law, with 3 people, just bought a Screw. There are only 2 in my family and I ordered a Screw Lariat 15 weeks ago. Hope to have it in 2 more weeks. I like the 4 doors and not having to get out to let someone in and out of the back seat. Also Du-Ha makes a nice storage unit for under the rear seat.

Yeah, I did finance it to get the 1000 off, but called and got the payoff. It's in the mail.

Actually, it's nearly 5 grand less. 5 grand is 5 grand! For 5 grand, I can buy a nice used Buell XB12s with less than 1000 miles on it or a nearly complete custom bobber.

I guess I just like having toys instead of one, big payment.

I had this same decision a few months ago when I ordered a '10 XLT. Right now it is only the fiancé and I, no children, and I figured I will never be sitting in the back so I did not think I needed a full four door tuck. Also I need the 6.5' bed for my dirt bike it’s just much easier and the Screw w/ 6.5' seemed a little too long for me. So I ordered a XLT Scab and I am very happy with it I have no complaints.............but if I could do it again I would have gotten a Screw. Mainly just because there are times and situations when I have said to myself "well if I had the Screw." I do carpool for work and drive once a week, I can fit 6 people easily, but it would be much nicer with 4 separate doors and the extra room. I will say the difference I noticed during test-driving is the Scab has much more power, the Screw felt almost sluggish in comparison but these are trucks we're talking about not racecars. All in all my recommendation would be to get the Screw, just figure ur already spending over $30000 why not get it all, keep it longer and have it be able to do everything. The way I see it the Scab is fine for me (for now) but when I have kids I will surely want a Screw and it will be the perfect reason to get a new truck....

Thanks Everyone for your responses. I drove home a 2010 blue flame FX4 Scab this afternoon. The dealer had just received a Screw FX4 Saturday and we drove it.

Upon getting back to the dealership any doubts about which truck woudl work best for us were gone. For the extra $$ we can get the Scab set up the way we want it and have a some left over for some traveling.

Thanks again.

I know the tundra got totaled, but why did you go F150 this time? Just curious...

This should work out for you just fine. The rear doors can be a bit of a pest but I felt the screw was an expensive convenience, for me. so far, i don't mind them too much, even with 2 kids.
