Ten years or more ago, you'd be right. This technology was invented by Land Rover to replace the LSD and has gotten better every since then. Ford now has it nearly perfected.

I know what the hell I'm talking about. You obviously do not understand how modern technology works. The ABS system works every bit as well or better than an lsd. I don't know why you can't understand that.
The traction management system in a land rover compared to an f150 is like comparing a Porsche to a Kia. And no the abs system is not comparable, the only reason the systems were developed was to increase drive ability.

Again, wrong.

Ford owned Land Rover from 2000 to 2008. Wanna guess where they got the technology from?

Here's the piece on Ford using Land Rover tech in the Yutes. There's a similar piece on the F150 out there somewhere too.

The system on the explorer sucks, I drove one in Tahoe last year in the snow.

No, I'm providing the OP with factual points so he can make an informed decision.

You are posting incorrect information that I'm trying to prevent others from believing.

Seems you really have something against Ford based on your posts.

So I'm not arguing with you. I'm trying to provide factual information, which I have.

Please do the forum a favor and stop posting misinformation.

The only thing I posted incorrectly was that the power wagon was the only truck offered that did not have a open front diff. My 2011 was open and I apologize I wasn't I aware they got smart and put one in the 12s. I have not knocked ford I simply corrected your posts as you have mine. We use fords to make money everyday, 550, 350, and 4 150s.

I tried the traction control off and the advanced track off, the wheels spun a little more but the traction control still kicked in. I believe it was just the one wheel spinning still but I'm not 100% on that. It would still be nice to have a limited slip diff in the back so I can leave the traction control on incase I spun out since I almost had it happen a few times. You go around a corner when the road is wet and then the power kicks in causing it to slide out. luckily the traction control kicked in like it should have and kept me pretty strait. I think I'm gonna do the diffs next year cause the funds are a little low from doing wheels in a few days and it will give me power to both rear wheels with out pulling a switch.

If the rear end is drifting around, both tires are spinning. An lsd isn't going to change that any. If only one wheel is spinning, you can spin one tire and still track your line, unless you are just flooring it and intentionally trying to over spin that tire.

What it sounds like to me is your simply giving it too much power going around corners. Your new truck has gobs more torque than your old truck does. In my Chevy, I could pretty much punch it and barely spin the tires, even when on wet roads, because there wasn't nearly as much power as there is in my current truck.

An lsd isn't going to overcome inability to properly modulate the skinny pedal.
