Default Leveling Kit Problems?

A friend of mine has an 09' XLT 4X4 and he is looking to install a leveling kit. My question is does the suspension max out (on the rebound) when you go over speed bumps or dips in the road. I installed a level kit on a cousins titan 2wd and it makes a really loud thud when going over speed bumps, I would really appreciate any and all input thanks

i have the exact same problem over larger bumps. From what I understand, it is the upper control arm hitting the coilbucket in downtravel of the front suspension. Not sure what to do to fix this or if it may cause further problems in the future. Any info would be appreciated

I believe the Autospring and HBS kits are both offset to prevent this.

Correct, I have a 1.5" AS level and haven't experienced this issue.

I am using the 2 inch auto spring kit. Maybe its an install problem, although I thought it was pretty straight forward

I have a 2.5" level lift and I hear a ping in the front and back whenever I go over very aggressive speed bumps...I don't believe it is an unhealthy sound though. My lift was installed by Galpin Auto Sports and I'm pretty sure they install everything perfectly for the price they charge!!!

with the loud thud sound check your front sway bar is tight. when i did mind i forgot to tighten the sway bar and i made that sound till i tighten it up. other than that i have no problems with mine on or off road. and mine is a 2010 xlt 2wd

Mine does it. I was thinking it was the fault of the lousy install by 4 wheel parts. I noticed that the plastic boot on the strut was wedged and cracked so I can assume that everything was improperly torqued. always made the clanging noise tho.
