Lead time?
Update: Ordered on 1/7/13, dealer got confirmation on 1/11/13, received my VIN 2 weeks after being ordered with build date of 1/29/13. Dealer received truck on 1/31/13 and I got it same day. Truck was built in Dearborn and I live in northern OH 1 hour away. I love this thing. It the shop now changing out those crappy Wrangler SR-A's for some SilentArmor 275/70 - 18's.
My dealer just gave us a build date of Feb 11, and said that it would take 4 days to go through the plant. Is that possible?
Not bad... I got my VIN last Thursday - two months to the day to get my VIN - scheduled for production on February 11th, and a delivery of March 4th.

Rail is the most economical, but not the fastest. If there's a load going to Central or Eastern Canada, my truck may sit in Kansas City for weeks before a load is put together to go West, or it could sit on a train going from hub to hub. I've seen trucks zig-zag across North America for weeks before being offloaded...

4 days seems like a bit much. That thing is built in about 1-1.5 shifts (if I remember). There are only 2 things I know of that could cause it to take 4 days to get out of the plant. 1) A yard hold for quality issues, and/or 2) your truck gets picked for an audit so it gets scheduled it to be taken out and put 40-70 miles on while they check NVH, fit/finish, power train, etc.
