Wonder what's taking so long? By any chance is your dealer a smaller "Select" dealer?

Nope... It's Team Ford in Edmonton, Alberta - typically top 3 in Canada for retail sales. Methinks something slipped through the cracks...

Check with your dealer to see what priority code was used to place the order.

If they had open allocation, then you should have gotten the truck by now.

Is the HD package on constraint right now for something? 7 lug wheels maybe?

My truck took 4 weeks from order to delivery.

Interesting posts here. I ordered Dec. 21 and got the VIN last week, scheduled build week of Jan. 28. No mention of delivery date though.

Something definitely messed up with Madorski's order - need to check that out. Should have gotten a VIN wayyyy before Xmas.

Well I got my VIN 2 weeks after being ordered. I can't access the sticker yet, but it is scheduled for build on 1/29 (3 weeks after ordering). It is being built in Dearborn and I live in northern OH 1 hour away so I am optimistic about a rapid delivery.

I did get a lesson from the dealer. Apparently every dealer gets a weekly allotment of trucks. In this allotment they are allowed a certain number of 3.5L, SuperCrew, Lariat, etc. If you order a truck with the basic parameters they are alloted it goes quick. If not you wait. Bigger dealers have more alloted so they can substitute custom orders for the "auto order". They also have a bit more pull and can tweak the allotment with custom orders for immediate delivery (not to stock the lot). I guess if you custom order and want it quick go to a dealer that moves a lot of trucks.

It's is entirely possible there is constraint. It's a screwy arrangement as it was ordered 3rd party from Edmonton... The email I got from one of the national account managers at Ford Fleet was pretty much "we're working through a backlog of aged orders..."

The plan is hold off until the first week of February - if no VIN by then I'll cancel and go non-HD or Super Duty. I really don't want to do that...

Hmmmmm. I don't have much experience with the HD packages or anything.

But that is really screwy. You should of had your truck before the Xmas shutdown even. Certainly a VIN.

Don't know what else to say here. It's a head scratcher for sure
