wow...i seriously got raped by the dealer just now, it was $470 with a veterans discount. thats what i get for not shopping around.
.
I had the same thing happen, and it was intermittent. I took it to my local dealer and they diagnosed it as the Lead Frame and repaired it. Then it happened again a couple months later. I took it back, and that time they said it was the Throttle Body and I had to pay $900 to have it replaced. I haven't had any issues since.
The throttle body is actually really easy to replace if you're so inclined, but it costs freaking $800 for the part, so the extra $100 for the dealer to do it, I just chalked up to a convenience fee, and insurance that if something else similar happened, they couldn't blame me for replacing the TB myself.

i replaced the throttle body yesterday and ran the truck for like 30 miles, it dint do it again. the truck does feel different but that's because its learning my driving ways again, since i had to reset the computer. i hope it was the TB and not the lead frame but only time will tell. i found a cheaper TB also from another dealer. i want to thank everyone especially RLXXI he helped me alot.
I guess I just didn't do enough research. I DID check my 3 local chain auto parts stores and they were all around the same price as the dealership. I didn't look for anything that I wouldn't be able to pick up that day, because I needed it fixed.
I've bought parts at the dealer many times and lower cost than local auto parts stores so that don't fly as far as that goes. It's always best to shop around, there's no excuse for over paying for parts with the internet at everyones finger tips.
