I assume the same way I do, with a wifi OBDii adapter and the app for your ipod. I don't get boost readings since mine is a 5.0 but everything else is the same.

I'm hopefully going to pick up a gen 3 ipod touch from a co-worker. That will let the app run better as well as some jailbreak tweaks I can't do on my 1st gen.

Hard to see from the pics, but do you have access to the home button?

Also, how long of a mini USB to female USB cable did you buy? I have an iPod cable that is approx. 2 feet long, how much more will I need to do the USB2 mod?

Im guessing that since I do not have Bluetooth on my Gen. 1 no engine readings for me as well..bummer.

I can barely press the home button with my finger nail. That's another cydia tweak I installed with Activator was when I pinch in from anywhere it goes to the home screen. When I long press on the status bar it acts as the sleep button on top.

My adapter is a little short one maybe 6" long. I use a usb extension cable that runs down behind the kick panel of the console and plug my ipod Cable in there. So when I need to plug it in for now I just pull the cable slack out and plug it into my laptop.

You don't need to have blue tooth to run an OBDii adapter and app. They make wifi versions. The only downside is the 1st gen ipod touch doesn't support 99% of the apps in the app store anymore.

Don't get a Bluetooth adapter if your using an Apple product, none of them will work. You have to go wifi

I like this I may do this since I don't tow anything at the moment. And also since I want to have sum gauges like boost and stuff but don't want to be having to install them in new spots this would be able to be returned to stock I'm guessing ? And since I'm waiting till warranty goes out to do an actual tuner

Can you give the details on the image with the ipod touch?
Which generation ipod touch is that?
Is the controls in the image an app from the apple store? If so what is it called?
If not, where did you get the app in the image?
Is the information real time?
Where is the cable from the ipod touch connected to in the F-150?
Any additional information I am not asking?

Thanks for the image and help.
