iPhone 5 & Sync
The new plug does not offer line out audio. That was one thing I read that really makes me not want to get a new iPhone. This was a bad idea on Apple's part since many manufacturers use the USB plug now. I have another car that uses the USB plug for many things, like Facebook and others. From what I heard these will not work anymore with the iPhone 5. The only way to stream music now is by Bluetooth.

Bought the 30 pin to Lightning adapter today and tested it in the truck, it works great too.

My Ipod classic 160 was working fine with my F150 Lariat with Sync until recently. Sync does not find the Ipod anymore. I tried pulling fuse 2 this morning to do a reset. But still the Ipod is not found. Anyone have an answer on how to get Sync to recognize the ipod classic 160 that it used to see?
Mine streams fine on my 2013 XLT with iPhone5 but I have to go into the settings and say Bluetooth stream every time I get in. Extremely annoying. Also, as soon as I plug in the USB I lose control of the screen on phone and find it nearly impossible to just go into a playlist and start playing a song I want. To charge, I just use the 12v and continue to use Bluetooth stream. In all honesty, it's horrible
yeah that is the point of the sync system to have full control of the music on your radio. Almost all aftermarket and now factory radios with iphone and ipod integration do this. You still can press your home button and function your phone and all the apps.

On a Benz, it has the navigation wheel and the computer is actually quick. Spin the wheel to your artist or song and push down. Very intuitive. This, not so much.
I understand... I just find it frustrating when you or a passenger want to listen to a specific song. Takes 2 minutes just to get the sync lady to even get close haha... Maybe it's just me, but I would kill to be able to just have it go straight to Bluetooth stream when I get in my truck!
