iPhone 5 & Sync
I found it interesting this weekend when I plugged my 5 into the USB to charge that my music wouldn't play though the USB port. Sync told me that there was no device plugged in but it was charging my phone. I'm thinking the new connector ha to have something to do with the output.

You might have to turn your USB setting to media device mode (or something similar on iPhones) so you can share files (maybe it's already on, dunno I don't do the iPhone thing, not sure exactly how they're set up by default).
Or just stream via Bluetooth.

Have you tried switching media back to USB off of BTST or is it not giving you the option?

When I go to Media and press on the screen where it says "Line In" it won't change to USB or BTST like it used to. I now have to press the Sync button and say "USB" and then it will recognize my iphone 5. Weird...

The new plug does not offer line out audio. That was one thing I read that really makes me not want to get a new iPhone. This was a bad idea on Apple's part since many manufacturers use the USB plug now. I have another car that uses the USB plug for many things, like Facebook and others. From what I heard these will not work anymore with the iPhone 5. The only way to stream music now is by Bluetooth.
