Can someone please post the dimensions for the Sync 3 hub that is needed for Car Play/Android Auto (PN: HC3Z-19A387-B)? Tried searching for it but can't seem to find the dimensions...

I'm asking because the USB hub in my 2017 XLT seems smaller and wondering if I need additional parts to replace. Below is a pic of my USB hub that comes with the 4.2" screen, located in the center console below the Sync sliding door...

Has anyone experienced any issues with bluetooth call audio on sync 3 v2.2/ios 10.3.2? Music works fine over bluetooth but bluetooth call audio drops and radio starts playing while call screen still shows in the background. Is apim wiring the same for both bluetooth phone call sound and music/navi voice? Feels like a software issue with iphone/sync 3

Thanks

You need to edit the As-Built data of your ACM to be the same as a truck equipped with an 8" screen to resolve that issue.

I'm doing this mod and I had a question about the ACM wires into the APIM. Am I correct in reading that there are only two inputs (6 and 19) from the ACM to the APIM? What about the other wires from the ACM plug, where do they go?

6 and 19 are just for Sirius Travel link. That is all you need to do with wiring of the acm. As far as the rest, check here. I think the majority populated connecter is for speakers. http://revbase.com/bbbmotor

So if I'm not adding sirius, do I need to do move 6 and 19? Now I'm getting confused. If the acm isn't connected to the apim, how does the apim control the radio?

The way I understand the instructions, you're not moving the pins, you're splicing 6 and 19 to 16 and 17 respectively. Splice with something like a Posi-Tap... Perhaps someone can confirm my understanding is correct.

You won't need to touch pins 6 and 19 on the ACM connector, which means pins 51 and 52 on the harness will have no wires in them. I do see that I have an error in the OP of this thread that shows the ACM wire taps going to the APIM 16/17 plug, which is incorrect.

The ACM is controlled via the CAN BUS (pins 16/17 on the APIM connector)

Correct, the detailed images in the OP specify to splice into the wires, not move/remove the pins on those connectors. There is an error in the image with the ACM, which says to splice and tie into 16/17 on the APIM harness. This is not correct, and those should go to 51/52. The splices on the GPSM connector are the ones that need to go to 16/17.

Thanks for this... I didn't even notice that both GPSM and ACM were noted as being pinned to 16/17. Just ordered the parts from Mouser yesterday and want to get all my info in order before starting... Is post #35 still the post to go to with the latest info?

Also, what crimper did you use for the male and female pins? I saw this one on Amazon that looks like it would work but not sure...
