Default How much value do you loses after a car accident

Got into a accident last week with my 8 month old fx4 damage to whole pass side

Had a previous vehicle get side swiped in the parking lot and took about a $5k loss in value just due to it being reported on carfax. If I would have known that at the time of the accident vice trade in, I would have tacked it on to the insurance claim.

I had my F250 stolen in 2003. Got it back, needed some body work, traded it in 2007, and didnt lose anything. I didnt advertise to the dealer what had happened over 4 years earlier either....

make sure you talk to the insurance company...but it doesnt look too terrible

WTF is this? The month of the accidents? Holy crap!

You could try to get that loss back by simply trying to sell it after repairs. Price it competitively and get some interest, There's gotta be at least one guy that wont look at the carfax....

So far 7000 in body damage still got to see about other damage to front end suspension took most of the hit

make the insurance pay you another $5k for the devaluation, unless that $7k figure goes up..
