Well ppl are saying simple green will harm the alumimum?? Maybe i can try diluting it??

We used to use Simple Green on our C-130's and believe me, it is very corrosive on aluminum.

For engine cleaning it is best to cover the alternator because of water intrusion. I usually do not cover electrical connecters as I only mist around them. As far as simple green goes it can cause damage to bare aluminum but you need to wipe it off, usually prolonged stay of simple green would do this (not that often). I never had a problem with it before. Wipe the engine down every week and it will stay like new. I use aerospace 303 for the plastic, rubber to help protect it. Also for real detailing tips go to detailed image or auto geeks, great info there. Also you have to check out Todd Cooperider, he is a high end detailer with a wealth of free info.
