Default How to ground reverse lights

I want to install LED aux backup lights by connecting wire to reverse wire in trailer harness. What is the easiest way to ground the connection? Is the chassis coated from the factory or can I just loosen a bolt and use that?

Thanks

If your tapping reverse lights in the 7 pin use the middle one (Black I think), tap the white for your ground.

or use a self tapping screw and drill it into the frame somewhere.

Above the spare tire on the frame there is the ground for the trailer harness, just unbolt this and ground there.

I've had mine for about 6 months and love it (especially with tinted front windows). FYI, I wouldn't use the junk splicers they include. I soldered mine and then used Liquid Electrical Tape. I just don't trust those cheap splicers.

Yea true that. I used some on my camera and after that I bought dome liquid tape. I gotta get my windows tinted. Looks so much better. I will say my stocker is looking a lot better after my mods. I'll post a few pics tomorrow after I clean her up.m
