Default HID pics

I'm looking into getting hid heads but not sure what to get. I'm thinking either 4500k, 5000k, or 6000k. Does anyone have pictures of these in their trucks to show me how each light looks? Thanks

Just installed 6000k's. First picture is before I aimed then down(which IMO is a must). 2nd is after aiming then from approx 30 feet away.

Yeah. Not sure how I like it yet. I know a retrofit would be best, just is a lot of $.....

I hear ya, I think that is a pretty good cut off for stock housings. I love how people describe them throwing and scattering light all over and right here is proof that it does not do that in stock housings.

Would a retro throw light better? Sure but at 10x the cost, I will stick with my PnP kit that looks and works fine without blinding people.

Projectors or best for any kind of HID bulb, but 5k is pure white and literally is the brightest you can get and is typically the color of factory HID kits, 6k gets a little blueish. Personally I would go with a 5k kit unless you have a blue truck or darker color truck simply to set it off a little better. But they both give off great light.

I agree with ya. I was a little worried at first about the cutoff being bad, but was pleasantly surprised once they were in. Not saying they don't scatter light, but it looks alot better some hids I've seen in stock housings.

Looks good tractorman
Ya HID's in the stock housing really aren't as bad as a lot of people make them out to be. As long as you aim them correctly they are fine. Here's my old truck with Xetronics Digital HID's in them and I rarely got flashed and when I did I can't really blame it on the lights rather the truck being on 40" Toyos and 14" of lift
