Default HID Fog Lights

Anyone running HIDs in their fog lights yet?

I am looking to buy my kits this weekend. Sylvania shows the bulb as a 9140. I talked to the place that I am ordering the kits from, mengmotorspots, and they said it is an h10. I just wanted to make sure before I ordered. thanks.

Huh? The light housings are plastic and should melt with HID's of that size. Any issues yet?

I just got my kids for the fogs and the h13s. Where is the best place to mount the ballasts?

8000k is the color, not actually the temp that the lights reach. I ran 8000k in the fog lights that I had in my car previous and never had an issue.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll post some pics as soon as I get everything installed.

I did 6000k fogs and heads at the same time. h10 are correct for the fogs. h13 for the heads. havnt had any issues with them getting too hot. they are very bright and work well. mine are all 35w kits.

both of these pics have the hid 6k's on the left and on the right are Sylvania Silver Stars.

I know it is not the actual temp but I heard from a few others that anything over 6000k can melt the housing...
