Default Help! Shell casing went down the dash

Hey guys. Need a little help here. I think I had a shell casing fall down my defrost vents on my 2014 f150. It seems to have fallen in a flat spit and now rolls around every time I stop and every time I accelerate. I have tried magnets down the vent to catch it and extendable magnet through the floor vents but I cannot find it. Can anybody else help me out here before I take my dash apart? Thanks!

If the casing is brass it's non magnetic, harborfreight.com sells a cheap bore scope that you can fish down in there to get a look and they also sell a spring shaft pickup tool. Good luck.

My '79 F150 still has .22LR brass in the defroster vents from twenty years ago. The little jingle when I kick up the fan once per year always puts a smile on my face.

Maybe try the most powerful shop vac you can get with duct tape over the part of the vent not covered by the vac hose. Might be a long shot
