Default Help: Looking for something specific 13 Lariat

Looking for a 13 Lariat with hill descent, our question is:

DO you have a switch on the center dash to turn it on and off?

If you do, could you post or PM me your vin, we are working on a Forscan project.

Thanks

You will need one with the Offroad package, the same system as is on the FX4.
Would the info from an FX4 work? if so let me know, I can send you mine.

From what I understand the Hill Descent requires a different ABS module, but I could be wrong. I don't have access to the parts manual right now, but I can verify that on Monday for you.

Yes thanks, or if you could chime in on the Forscan thread with your comments.

A different module or just a setting?

Thanks

If the 2015 - 2016's can enable HD in Forscan without a new module, why would the '09 - '14 be any different?

I think it's worth a switch to find out.

Could be the same difference between 09-14 from 04-08, they don't enjoy the functionality of a BCM, that series uses a GEM. New models = newer technology.

Would any of my info be useful? 2013 XLT that I upgraded to the 8 inch MFT and installed the bezel with Hill Descent button; hill descent worked without any AsBuilt modification after adding the bezel/button.

What all did you have to do to get the 8" working? I have a bezel.

I did a little write up here:
https://www.f150forum.com/f38/how-up...-8-mft-360583/

I tried bits of AsBuilt data from a few different F150's on the ACM and APIM before I found a combination were everything works. I'd be more than happy to share my AsBuilt if you're interested.

Just verified, the module is the same, and based on nfazer's comment it looks like all the settings are there already, all you need is the switch and wiring!!!

If all I needed was a couple of wires and a switch to turn it on, then I am really pissed!! Hill Descent is why I picked the FX4 over the Lariat!
