Headlight Question
Hi I have a 2011 f150 xlt, i got hd headlights and tails, I'm happy with both but I'm not happy with my light output, I want retros i just don't justify 1000 dollars for headlights, and im sure i will see a bunch of people say retros are the only way to go but i just want brighter lights, I was looking at these

Plain and Simple:
HID's dont belong in a halogen housing. They scatter light everywhere and blind other drivers on the road. Not to mention that the usable light is usually not much better, just a different color and more light on the foreground due to the change in the light center from the longer HID bulbs.

You get what you pay for. Retrofits are expensive, but you can justify the cost by actually being able to see at night.
I appreciate your honesty, and i can see at night, but i hate the orange crappy color to be honest. Maybe ill just stick with my stock lights, and then a little while down the road either trade in the truck, or just have someone retrofit them for me. Thanks guys.

I've run them for 3 years and there have been little to no people flashing me but I do live in an urban area. I would go with 4200-5000K for the brightest, whitest light possible.
Not accurate at all, are retros better? Yes there are but PnP HIDs do add a considerable amount of light and most is focused down the road. There is a little scatter but not like many describe.

4300K provide the best lumens. It's not pure white, but it's supposed to be best for our eyes to be looking at and best output. That's why all OEM bulbs are that temperature.

The Safest, and best way to add hids is to get the 2013 oem hids that are plug n play or a retrofit! When you stick hids in a halogen housing, its ricer as well of lack of Respect for other drivers on the road period!
