Default Have a 2011 on order...

A few weeks ago I ordered a 2011 Lariat about three weeks ago. I'm told the truck will be available for pick up on the 25th of October. I called the dealer today, but the vin is not available. Anything for me to be concerned about at this time? I'm kinda half hoping to get bumped to a 2012, but I'm thinking I'll get the '11 that I ordered.

Ordered on August 20th

2012 production not supposed to start until 23th of OCT so plenty of time left to build a 2011.

Cord, congrats on your soon-to-be new truck. Warning though... the 5-6 week wait will seem like an ETERNITY! My truck has been on order since July 19th and I'm not supposed to take delivery until the week of September 26. Seems like a lifetime ago that I placed my order. LOL.

But I'm sure the wait will be worth it for both of us.

Hey I also ordered a 2011 XLT Supercab about three weeks ago, I still haven't heard from the dealer yet about a VIN. So I don't think it is anything to worry about yet, unless we both should be worried. I haven't been given a date to pick it up yet either though, although now that I know your time I am sure it will be somewhere around then! Congrats on the new truck!

Ordered my truck Aug 1st, was just updated with an expected delivery date of Oct 1st. I seriously cannot wait. I'm tired of my tired land cruiser with no heat and it rides like a sh*t ton of bricks. Not to mention, the horrible fuel economy.

Anyway, my truck:
2011 F150 XLT Supercrew 5.0 V8 (145" wb), 4x4 off-road pkg, 3.73 el axle, tow pkg, TBC, plus pkg, rear view camera, 36gal tank (so happy for this), and probably a few other things that aren't really worth mentioning.

Mine was 5 weeks - ordered the 13th of Aug, ready for pick up Sept 18th. Sounds like mine was quicker than most, but should give some hope that they're moving quick(er)

I know what you mean! I'm upgrading from my 2003 Hyundai Accent, which has no heat, no A/C, no power steering, and no power locks. I am counting down the hours...

What did you order? That is the fastest I have seen on this forum.
