Not a govenor issue ... The factory speed is limited to ~95MPH by the PCM.

Exclamation

David Biswell - I assume it can be reprogrammed.
Things to consider before raising or eliminating the limit ...
.
  • critical mass limitation of driveshaft *consider a metal matrix composition driveshaft and safety loop
  • speed rating of tires
  • brake system upgrade
  • suspension upgrade
  • limitations behind the steering wheel *high performance vehicle, low performance driver.
TFTD (Thought For The Day) - 6,500+- Lb vehicle careening down the hi/byway with the driveline, braking, and suspension components designed, spec'ed, (AT BEST) for < 95MPH.

So this is where I say you only have the little baby V8, should have bought the 6.2 Can you Say Burn
You make fun of the EcoBoost that has more HP and Torque than your 5.slow because it isn't a V8.
To the OP, try using the other key just incase the one you using is a my key with the limits set

Sorry, the 5.0 is twice the engine the hot garbage Taurus derived 3.5 eco will ever be. 5.slow will beat an always broken down EcoBoost anyday. I will concede the 6.2 is a beast though and the choice of all F150 engines.

If it’s not a governor issue, it’s not something that needs to be reprogrammed(which you shouldn’t do anyways, it is not a race car). You have another issue as your governor is not limiting you to 75.
