Sometimes yes most of the time no. Depends on the skill of the Tech and if they have a full set of tools.

When I took my car to Dent Wizard full shop with the intense white light garage in Houston, they were able to reform the crease from "both" sides of the door panel. They work right down to the smallest visible characteristics in the paint (smaller than orange peel). So that the panel/paint reflects the light correctly from all directions. But 98% of the time they only work from the back side of the panel. Many of the tools they work with look like surgical nails with very sharp points of them, that is how they are able to line up all the tiny dots/spots in the paint so well, so it reflects light like it should.

I think it was around $130 shipped.
Installation was really simple, it just attaches with 3M tape.

We, as in the city and borough residents, are trying to get it changed.

It might still be worth a try though. If anything, you see the car/tag that hit it and next time you see them you can give them a piece of your mind. Verbally of course.

*My comment isn't to bash our local LE. They do a fantastic job, and I value there work. Unfortunately, all of the property crimes that I have directly or indirectly been a victim of have always been put on the back burner for more important matters. A break in at my place of employment was treated like it was no big deal and there was absolutely no follow up, even with prodding them for updates/information.

With the ice/snow packed parking lots, I am really not surprised. I bet someone slid or had their vehicle in 4WD and couldn't turn too tight. I was p!ssed when I first noticed it, but am a lot more calm now. I will try that place you mentioned when it gets a bit warmer.

I ended up putting on body color trim that covers the dent (and protects against any new ones from the same height)
If you're interested I got them from a place called SportWing (online)

Looks great - looks like OE.
