Looks like a runaway shopping cart hit it. My wife's van has a lot of those. Not sure why her van attracts so many carts.

I would think if another vehicle hit it, you'd see some scraping along the edge. That is just an impact dent.

Sorry to see that KD. I hate that parking lot at Walmart. I always park way out in the RV section, if and when I do go there. As for the paintless dent removal places, I am not sure if we have any up here. I have always had great success with Chaz Limited and Collision Masters. Since there doesn't seem to be any/much paint damage, they probably wouldn't charge much to clean that up for you.

Best of luck, and let us know how it goes.

Forgot to mention, but my old Camry got hit by a kid on a bike and had a pretty nasty foot long scratch down the side. Swung by Chaz Limited and the guy told me to come in on Saturday and they fixed it up per gratis. They are pretty good folks down there.

This is going to sound like I went overboard and I am thinking its too late for ya to do this--but for future reference I had my truck hit and run by somebody in a Wal-Mart Parking lot and dent about the size of yours. I asked Wal-Mart if I could look at surveillance footage from the time I got there to the time I left, and they let me! I saw on the footage a car run right into my truck....the security guy zoomed in and got the plate number and called the Police. No **** the Police Pulled over the car a few blocks away and ticketed them for hit and run. Sounds like a stretch but you can catch these people who don't take responsibility! The guy argued the cop and said it was private property and that he couldn't be ticketed, but the Cops still gave him the ticket saying it happened on commercial property and its still considered a hit and run. At the end of the day his insurance ended up paying for my truck to be fixed.

I have only had my truck since Christmas Day and have been paranoid as all get out about parking at the grocery store...Wally World, etc. I just wasn't ready for the door dinging and cart marks. But, I got over it and try to be wise when parking; my hope is that any damage that may ever get done is that it's an easy fix and my girl's good as new again.
Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Our PD and State Troopers typically don't have "the time" for this sort of property crime on private property. In fact, the roadways in and around our walmart and our "shopping district" aren't city/borough owned. They are all private roads, so unless there is a medical emergency, they usually are hesitant to respond to roadway accidents.

We, as in the city and borough residents, are trying to get it changed.

It might still be worth a try though. If anything, you see the car/tag that hit it and next time you see them you can give them a piece of your mind. Verbally of course.

*My comment isn't to bash our local LE. They do a fantastic job, and I value there work. Unfortunately, all of the property crimes that I have directly or indirectly been a victim of have always been put on the back burner for more important matters. A break in at my place of employment was treated like it was no big deal and there was absolutely no follow up, even with prodding them for updates/information.

Makes me sick. I had this happen twice to my truck. One took off paint and really pissed me off.

I'm just curious but can paintless dent places do dents in creases cause I got a small ding in that crease on my rear door from wal mart a while back

I had a door ding on the crease on my driver's door and the guy at the dent removal place told me he couldn't fix it because of the crease.
I ended up putting on body color trim that covers the dent (and protects against any new ones from the same height)
If you're interested I got them from a place called SportWing (online)
