Default Gear Display on Dash

Hey,
I have a 2011 F-150 STX Automatic

my work truck is a 2013 Super Duty Automatic

When Im in my work truck in "D"rive, it will show me above where it shows what position im in, what gear im in as it shifts.
My personal truck does not do that. Is that a newer thing, that is not on the 2011, or is it a Super Duty thing, or did I just not enable that feature?

if you do not have selectshift, you dont have this feature. does your gear display have "M" and a +/- button on the shifter stalk? if not, you do not have this feature in F150's

Dealer can reflash the tranny to get it to work. My '11 was the same way.

If you have it, put it in drive and push the + button.

I believe that the Select Shift is standard on the FX4 and up-optional otherwise. I am not sure about the FX2, I assume that it is.
